The complexities of life.
Each of the works in the Fabric of Life Series capture a 'mood', as each focuses on individual elements, represented through colour, composition, and the exposure/conversely, the concealment, of layers.
United, the triptych is a small assemblage of the mess that is life, in a visually compelling and appealing story.
The triptych comprises of 'Pink'; 'Sunny Days'; and 'Blue: on the Mend'.
Pink: a multi-layered, complex, interconnected experience. There are times of darkness, times of clarity; sometimes messy, sometimes organised, even compartmentalised; there are moments of introspection, moments of boldness; coherence - or disconnection; and ... yes, it's complicated.
Sunny Days: a cheery, colourful, patterned abstract that evokes a sense of spring, breaking into summer… There’s warmth: bright sunshine, green fields, blue skies, shots of brights: possibly an aerial perspective of paddocks, brimming with health, dissected by rivers and streams. All it all a glass half full experience.
Blue: on the Mend: a patchwork of 'threads', open weave, that reveal time worn scars; it tells the story of where we've been, where we are, and perhaps where we're going ... ? The blue taps into the soul, giving solace and a sense of calm - a sense that all will be well.
No matter what you ‘see’, there’s lived experience in these multidimensional webs, that are - the fabric of life.
