Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

It is no secret that I find our landscapes inspirational. The colours, the rugged beauty of nature in our part of the world are strikingly unique.

Having been to our outback before, I was expecting those stunning blue blue skies – red red earth vistas when traveling to Uluru and Kata Tjuta in August last year. But what I was not expecting was the stunning spring show of colour that was on display. New to me were the many shades of green, and many native blossoms, colourfully delicate yet oh so robust, uniquely adapted to the harsh climate they thrived in.

When creating this piece, I intuitively found myself channelling the colours of this landscape in spring. The red red rocks. The skies that go forever. The bright yellow of the flowering mulga trees. The blue-grey of saltbush, white trunks of the gums, the straw yellow of the spinifex… All vibrant, spring in the outback is a feast for the eyes.

Nature puts on one hell of a show – and if you can’t make it there yourself, then here it is, for you to savour. Spring Colours Outback of Kata Tjuta.
This piece is painted with professional artist quality paint, on professional grade canvas stretched over quality frame, and finished with a light varnish for protection.
All edges are gallery wrapped, so artwork can hang without frame if desired.

In situ artwork scale is approximate.

If this piece ticks all the boxes but isn't quite the right size, FINE ART REPRODUCTIONS are available.

A large triptych featuring a semiabstract interpretation of an orange grove, glowing with a golden backdrop. Gorgeous luscious oranges and white orange blossoms are dotted across the triptych.Scattered native red yellow orange flowers including banksias, grevilleas, gum blossoms and wattle on a crisp fresh white/golden backdrop. Pink roses cascade on a sea of soft greens, punctuated with delicate white highlights, on a sky blue background.Quintessential, watery, abstracted, depiction of Monet's garden, with larger than life florals, detailed waterlilies, hydrangeas, trees, and of course the jade bridge covered with wisteria
