Artwork Description

"Reflective Abstractions" is my acrylic painting inspired by the works of Giorgio Morandi. Through abstract vases and flowers, I aim to capture the essence of Morandi's minimalist compositions while infusing my own artistic interpretation. This painting invites viewers to contemplate the beauty of simplicity and find meaning in the interplay of shapes and colours.

Artist Bio

In the heart of the urban labyrinth, I am dMilo – a country girl whose artistic soul thrives amidst the vibrant chaos of city life. My journey is a testament to the exploration of diverse mediums and styles, an ongoing odyssey where I borrow from the echoes of other artists until my own unique voice emerges.
Growing up surrounded by the tranquility of rural landscapes, my roots are firmly planted in the earth. Yet, the allure of the city lights beckoned, and I found myself immersed in the diverse palette of urban creativity. My art is a reflection of this dynamic fusion, a harmonious blend of rural echoes and the rhythmic symphony of the city.
Experimentation is my guiding principle, and every medium is a playground for my artistic expression. From the raw energy of graffiti to the meticulous craft of sculpture, the lens of photography to the immersive world of performance art – I traverse them all. The city becomes my canvas, a sprawling tapestry where I dance between mediums, unwilling to be confined by the constraints of a singular form.
Borrowing from the great artists who have left their mark on the world, I am a visual scavenger, absorbing the essence of Basquiat's rebellion, the ethereal brushstrokes of O'Keeffe, and the bold statements of countless others. Through this process of borrowing, I weave a narrative that is uniquely mine, a story told in borrowed strokes until I discover the strokes that are authentically mine.
