The Gold Cicada

I created this work by covering the paper with leaves, grass and vines I found in my garden. I then poured watercolour over the paper and leaves, then pressed it between panels till it dried.
Once dry I removed the shrubbery and drew onto the paper with gouache and pen to highlight little creatures.

A gorgeous, one of a kind artwork.

This work requires framing.
This artwork will be shipped flat. The paper is too thick to roll.

I’m a self-taught, experimental artist who loves working with colour and exploring different styles and mediums. I paint, draw and make things because I’m curious about where an idea can take me.
