Morning Visit to the Corner Store

I have good memories of going to the corner store for mixed lollies and ice cream. My visits now may be for more mundane items like milk and bread, but I love it when I see a corner store still open with the advertising signs out the front. This one is in Glebe, NSW.

I am a Newcastle based artist, inspired by my surrounds of the suburban and coastal landscape. My paintings show a silent and tranquil scene, generally void of people. I like to depict the beauty of the natural environment which also portrays a human footprint, usually in the form of a structure.

My paintings are acrylic on canvas.

I have held a solo exhibition at Nanshe Gallery and was part of a group exhibition at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. I was included in the list of finalists for the We Get By emerging artists showcase at Cooks Hill Gallery.
