Suburban Rooftop

This work was inspired by walking around the streets of my suburb at lunch time. The midday sun was creating shadows and I like how the simple façade of this home highlighted those shadows.

I am a Newcastle based artist, inspired by my surrounds of the suburban and coastal landscape. My paintings show a silent and tranquil scene, generally void of people. I like to depict the beauty of the natural environment which also portrays a human footprint, usually in the form of a structure.

My paintings are acrylic on canvas.

I have held a solo exhibition at Nanshe Gallery and was part of a group exhibition at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. I was included in the list of finalists for the We Get By emerging artists showcase at Cooks Hill Gallery.
