GOSFORD ART PRIZE FINALIST 2017
With dance-like movement and in constant collaboration with light, I seek to soften the edges, to take from immediate view what can be seen and allow the viewer to feel the intention of my expression.
My work primarily exists within the camera—gently moving and adjusting until ethereal romance has been achieved. Omnipresent natural light highlights and defines.
Minimal work is carried out in post, I prefer my camera, its lens and the manipulation of the shutter to be my tools....my pixel paintbrush.
While instinctively responding to the landscape, lightscapes are created. These lightscapes cause an awakening, allowing the viewer to observe the scene anew with a softer perspective, one that tells an emotive story rather than a mirror reflection.
