Battlefield (3D relief)

A rainbow land crab seeks its opportunity along the shallow water, while an octopus also strives for a chance to hunt. Their encounter is intense, but instead of a conch, they discover a discarded plastic cap, and instead of a sandworm, they come across a rusty fish hook. There is nothing left on this beach that has nothing worth fighting for. The crab is armed to the teeth, while the octopus is brimming with intelligence down to each cell. However that is not a battle between them, it is a surviving war initiated by us humans.

Doudou Huang is a Chinese Australian artist with a passion for watercolor, Chinese traditional painting, and acrylic painting. She has a unique approach to her craft, striving to fuse traditional Chinese painting philosophy with Western art techniques. In 1999, Doudou was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Art from Guangxi Art University, followed by a Master's degree from The University of Adelaide in 2006.

Aside from her artistic pursuits, Doudou is an animal lover and enjoys capturing the beauty of nature in her works. Her dedication to bridging the gap between Chinese and Western art has earned her a reputation as a skilled and innovative artist.
