Artwork Description

This piece features two translucent tri-coloured lionhead goldfish, painted with traditional Chinese ink on a gold foil background. The base is rendered in a splash-ink style using shades of phthalocyanine blue and azurite, evoking the shimmering depth of water. Against the golden backdrop, the delicate, gauzy fins of the goldfish float like silk threads, creating an exquisite, embroidery-like effect. The intricate details and luminous colours highlight the harmony of traditional techniques and modern elegance.
