Artwork Description

"Taste of the Sea" is a watercolor study of a local treasure easily caught from a nearby jetty. To me, this represents the true essence of coastal living—simple, accessible, and memerable flavors of mum's cook.
This piece focuses on the metallic luster of fresh Tommy Ruff, balancing the composition with the organic shapes of Mediterranean herbs and citrus. Using delicate washes and precise details, I aimed to portray the vibrant freshness of the morning's catch and the gratitude I feel for the simple abundance of our lives.
