At a remote corner of South Australia, this Victorian-style homestead was once filled with the aroma of mum’s cooking, the laughter of children, and the father’s sweat-soaked coat after a long day's work. Time, however, has weathered its roof and walls. The towering eucalyptus nearby, now fully grown, stands as a silent witness to the years gone by. This piece captures a fleeting moment while the house still stands—just like the memories that quietly endure. It is a tribute to the many pioneer stories and childhoods once rooted in places like this.
