An iris from Monet's garden, Giverny. May is a good month for Iris and poppies in Giverny and so, when I visited there at that time, I was able to gather lots of material for work in the studio. I love the shape and the colour of the iris - it is another of my favourite flowers. This small painting is one of a series and is happy to stand alone or be a part of a grouping of two or three.
