From time to time I bring an armful of flowers into the studio and spend the day arranging them until I am satisfied with the end results. These still-lifes then pose for me as I complete thumbnail sketches for future paintings - it is such a happy, fun day. This still-life is an end product from all of that planning. Wright and Co. canvases are super smooth, a good weight with a strong interior framework, and just a joy to paint on. Atelier paints are my choice of professional acrylics with the addition of several Matisse.
