"Spectacular Palm Cockatoo is the largest Cockatoo and parrot species in Australia, which also known as Goliath Cockatoo, referring to its size and powerful bill. I wanted to portray this impressive bird on a larger scale to make his presence felt and appreciated, with a lot of feathers and beak details. The erected crest is truly reminds an elaborated black crown of the King! I have chosen soft pastel medium for my artwork to reproduce softness of the feathers and glowing blurry background, suggesting sunrise skies and tropical vegetation behind the bird that makes this magnificent parrot standout even more."
