My solos exhibition "All Consumed" was a deep dive into all thing marketing and consumable, signs, iconic products and household items.
An extension on my already "tasty" kitchen stil life pantings, I took a moment in the garden shed and to find more subjects to paint.
"Melted" captures both a staple in your typical 'mens' garden shed or in an artists studio.
My aim was to bring another otherwise mundane subject to life, a vibrant colour palette, a smooth background and a detailed expressively painted still life study. I found myself intrigued by the rusty texture and quirky details in the label.
Many layers of paint and gloss varnish bring the colours to life in this piece, but its quirky detail that as always makes my work more than just a pop art piece.
