Weathered Companions

Weathered Companions is a 51 × 51 cm mixed media abstract in acrylic and charcoal on stretched canvas. Three stone-like forms rest against a soft expanse of blue, evoking both landscape and the memory of the Australian outback. Layers of warm neutrals, sage greens, and pale washes are scratched, rubbed back, and rebuilt to create a weathered patina. The work reflects the quiet endurance of natural forms and their subtle dialogue with sky and earth. Edges are finished in white and the piece is ready to hang. A raw oak float frame would further enhance its presence.
