Emma Petterson is a self-taught watercolour artist from Sydney Australia. She first started using watercolour to lessen feelings of anxiety. She finds the unpredictable nature of watercolour to be therapeutic as it reflects the uncontrollable world around us. Her art is a way to express peace, joy, and a sense of calm. She paints out of her home studio where she enjoys painting still-life and interiors, with a particular focus on Australian native flowers. Her work is known for its texture, colour, and a play on perspective. She has focused on sharing her love of nature, patterns, and everyday objects.
