Set of 5 blown glass vases, with colours inspired Aussie icons 'The Wiggles' - purple, blue, red, yellow and green. Each vase is approx. 40cm tall and 10cm wide. Created by Emma in the glass workshop at JamFactory, Adelaide.
The Wiggles are an integral, wholesome and magical part of many Australians' childhoods. In the 90's, when I was a kid, Greg, Anthony, Murray and Jeff provided the soundtrack to my life.
Dorothy the Dinosaur was the only female lead character for so long, then when Emma took over as the Yellow Wiggle, a huge new wave of Wiggles fans were invigorated. Suddenly, all the children in my life were obsessed with my name, and I felt very justified with my favourite colour being yellow.
These vases are a hat-tip to the fun and educational importance this iconic Australian band has in our children’s lives. The size and shape of the vases were developed by assessing what my own mother needed around the house: she didn’t have a vase tall and sturdy enough for the birds of paradise flowers that grew in our neighbour’s yard. Hopefully this unique design makes you want to smile and dance like you did as a kid.
