Afternoon Teatime (No Filter)

This painting was created in 2018 and has been in my private collection. It is my first and only Impasto style work depicting a flatlay of four English teacups on a ruffled table cloth.
My idea was to take a seemingly beautiful flatlay style image that one might see in a magazine, but depict it as if it was really happening in 'real life' where things are not always so perfect.

My studio is my haven - I paint amongst my flowers, surrounded by four daughters, my loving husband and two fuzzy art interns (my two curious cats).
