This piece is an addition to my 2015 series of birds. The 'Sticky Beak' version two - my goal here was to capture the cheekiness in the bird and his personality. I'm so pleased with how this painting has turned out. It's vibrant and flamboyant‚ with such a pleasing personality. Certain to brighten up a wall.
I work from photographs initially‚ then as I begin to paint I adapt the image as it's personality takes hold on the canvas. My painting is lead purely from my inner creative child - I rarely have control of it's outcome.
