Flowers are a beautiful gift from nature and they are loved and enjoyed across every generation, culture and country.
Not only are flowers lovely to look at, they genuinely create happiness while also reducing stress and anxiety.
My artwork shows a flower in mid bloom, the outer petals have fully opened while the tight inner bundle of compressed petals are just starting to be released.
This stage of the bloom has such an impressive display of geometry and colour so I wanted to capture that in this piece.
Additionally, through the use of dusty lilac colouring, this artwork aims to create a delicate, soothing atmosphere for those who view it.
To create this artwork, I used quality acrylic paint on a stretched thin-profile canvas. In addition, I have coated the painting in a waterproof satin varnish. This ensures protection for the artwork over time.
And finally, for convenience, I package and ship my artworks ready to hang.
