Beautiful Blues / Modern art Diptych gum leaves

Spring is here! Foliage from the gum trees in my garden inspired this set of two paintings.

I have created soft muted blues with a hint of green, mixing up to 6 colours at a time to achieve shades which I’m sure would look perfectly fresh in any home.

Following the muted colour scheme, branches and buds are painted in a warm brown-grey which I usually mix when painting bird feathers, of all things! The background is pale grey and the sides are painted as wrap around.

All of my paintings are packed with the greatest care.
