Artwork Description

The Finke River (also known as Larapinta) is regarded as the world’s oldest river, and we loved viewing it from a short helicopter ride while travelling near the West Macdonnell Ranges in the Northern Territory in 2012. Here, the Finke flows over Larapinta Drive, one of the few highways in this area.

This set of three paintings is inspired by a photo I took during our flight. This whole area is completely spellbinding - there is something so special about the twisted snow gums, the rocky gorges, the endless landscape and the immense blue sky.

This triptych is painted in artist oil paint on quality gallery-wrapped deep-edge canvas, with sides, top and bottom painted as wrap around on each canvas. The first photo here does not show the deep edges unfortunately- but if you’d like to see more, please let me know!

It is ready to hang on sturdy picture wire and each canvas has felt pads on the back to protect your wall. It can be hung close together, or with space in between. The sides have been painted as wrap around, so it’s entirely up to you how you’d like to configure them.

They’d look amazing framed, but it’s not completely necessary.

I have included some 'In situ' photos, which help us imagine art in our home. Feel free to reach out with pictures of your own space and I can virtually hang the paintings for you. If you’d like more photos, please let me know.

I hope this scene reminds you of special places in the Australian outback, and would consider it for your home.

Best,
Eve x

Artist Bio

I am a visual artist and painter whose love and passion for the Australian landscape has resonated with collectors for many years.

My little studio is nestled into the bush in central Victoria, surrounded by gum trees and a noisy population of birds, and overlooks the mountains and pasture adjacent to the Goulburn River.

Although now retired, assuming that is possible for someone creative, my journey continues, and a small selection of work will be made available at very affordable prices. Your purchase helps me buy art supplies and supports my creative journey. Thank you x
