Bluethumb “Rising Star” Artist and finalist in the 2021 Bluethumb Art Prize.
My “Forest Floor” series intends to remark on the cycle of life in the Australian landscape. Fallen leaves and other natural debris are a part of the chain which ultimately nourishes the earth and everything on it, in an unending journey of birth, growth, death, decay, and regeneration.
This is an original artwork using beautiful artist quality oil paint on cotton canvas of the finest quality. It was created with just 2 colours plus black and white. The limited palette provides an endless array of warm and cool tones; apricot, pink and mauve; gorgeous subtle browns and greys; a beautiful autumnal palette.
I will varnish this painting for lustre and protection, so this painting will be ready to be shipped after 9th May to ensure adequate drying time.
I have included photos of this artwork installed into a room with furniture. In situ photos were created using various apps and may not be perfectly to scale but should give you an idea of how your artwork might look. Where provided, pictures depicting framed art are illustrative only - just to give you an idea of how a beautiful timber frame might enhance the look of your painting.

I have been a full time career artist for 3 years, and have enjoyed seeing almost 300 paintings find their home in that time. My portfolio is eclectic and I paint with numerous styles and colour palettes, but I always harness my love for the Aussie landscape and use that connection when I paint. I often paint outdoors on location and allow the weather or time of day to dictate the mood or temperature of my art.
