Colours have been both subdued and amplified in this large landscape painting featuring Roma Gorge and the Finke riverbed (during the dry) at the Northern Territory. Bright saturated orange and red contrast against pastel grey and pink, with trees providing scale to the composition. It is inspired by the dry riverbeds west if Alice Springs which I visited many times while travelling around Australia a few years ago.
This is an original painting which has been framed in natural Tasmanian oak. Please allow 1-2 weeks for framing :)
