Gum Leaves and Twigs

The simplest subject painted in a pretty style. Gum leaves, nuts and twigs in a vase - these have been in my studio for a few weeks now and the leaves have paled and become papery and delicate. Perfect subject for my creativity today.

Here, I have used only primary colours, one blue, one red, one yellow, and white. This produces a beautiful palette with soft greens, pinks, and lovely dark brown shades.

The sides of the canvas have been painted as wraparound, which means you can start to see the image as you approach the artwork from any angle. The front of the artwork is signed.

This painting will look amazing in a custom frame, however it is not absolutely necessary as the painting is ready to hang right out of the box.
