Oil on linen
This painting is a one-off unique artwork which has been lovingly created in my studio with thick luscious layers of high quality oil paint using a palette knife. Gum leaves appear frequently in my work, as my studio is nestled into a large group of beautiful old trees which are home to a population of noisy native birds and insects. Superb blue wrens visit me daily and are on of my favourite species.
The negative space represented by the primed pure linen in this artwork perfectly complements the earthy and warm palette of colours I have used in this piece.
