Rocky Incline at Tallarook

A loose and free painting featuring the view of the rocky hills on the road towards Tallarook in central Victoria, not far from my home.

Here I challenged myself to use only three colours (one each of blue, yellow and red) along with white. The result is cohesive and yet striking, with loose expressive brushstrokes. Soft pink and grey rocks are the perfect complement to pale yellow-green grass and forest green trees.
