Memories of a working holiday right through the centre of our beautiful Australia inspired this painting. I wanted to capture the heat and bright sunshine of this vast stunning land.

I tend to supercharge the colours of the Australian outback when I undertake a painting such as this - my memories of this land are so vivid, so stark.... I can't help but transform that memory to the canvas.

My little studio is nestled into the bush in central Victoria, surrounded by gum trees and a noisy population of birds, and overlooks the mountains and pasture adjacent to the Goulburn River.
