This painting was intended to be quite abstract, however as it progressed, shapes emerged and dictated the flow. Painting with a loose and expressive style allows the paint to create shadows, highlights and lines, and I enjoyed adding some warm lilac and dusty pink into this predominantly green artwork. The edges of the canvas have been painted dark green similar to the background, so framing is not necessary, although I must admit it would accentuate the painting’s beauty.
The canvas itself is very high quality, with strong stretcher bars and cross braces, and the cotton canvas is triple primed and quite thick at 380gsm. I only invest in top quality gallery-standard canvases for my art.
I have used artist quality acrylic colour for this painting, in numerous layers followed by a small amount of fine lines and details. I have included some 'In situ' photos, which help us imagine art in our home. Feel free to reach out with pictures of your own space and I can virtually hang the painting for you. In situ photos provided here were created using various apps and may not be perfectly to scale. Photos depicting framed art are for illustrative purposes for your interest and consideration.
I hope you love my painting and will consider hanging this lovely scene on your wall.
Best,
