Evelyn Yee completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at the Victorian College of the Arts (University of Melbourne), Melbourne.
She is a painter who enjoys capturing daily life, and pleinair painting using oil, watercolour and gouache. Painting from life and on location allows her a more intimate connection with her subjects and scenes, and she gets to know the subject and place a bit better. She is often out painting with an easel, either alone or with groups she belongs to e.g. Melbourne Urban Sketchers (a local chapter of an international sketch group; she is a founding member of the group), and pleinair groups.
Evelyn has participated in artist residencies in Australia and Japan, and has exhibited her work in Australia and overseas. She is a member of the Victorian Art Society and the Brighton Art Society. Evelyn was born in Malaysia.
