Artwork Description

Acrylic on paper

Signed on the front.

An old photo and its ageless meaning. A white dude placing charges to dig deep. African land, rich land. They called it empire, then colony, then protectorate, than developing countries. Those never developed anything for the indigenous people, except the wealth of their ancestral oppressors.
This is our wealth: we dig holes in Africa and Asia, we suck it all.

workers, students and ordinary citizens running together toward the futurethere is a crowd of students, workers and normal citizen that are disappointed by the hardship of everyday life, from food to salary. We keep saying Tout Va Bien; Everything is fineTwo women holding bags, two women of the same world, walking the same road, by opposite directionsit' like morning time in Melbourne, a group of people are waiting the green light to cross the street, cars across the road and old giant neon signs, the atmosphere is magic
