Finally......a new Abstract Realism piece! :) its been some time! This super sexy Marilyn piece was created on a heavily textured and layered canvas base with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, turquoise, pink, black and white acrylics, oils and inks!
The main focus of this collection is Frankos "Abstract Realism" Heads series. This series features varied subject matter including nudes, semi nudes, Geishas, Native Americans, Aboriginals, sporting legends and lots of pop icons such as Marilyn, Hendrix, Lennon, Williams, Prince, Bowie to name a few. These pieces are always created by hand and brush with acrylics (no spray or screen-printing). They feature 100% textured bases and often feature hand created stippling over texture.
Close cousins to these Abstract Realism pieces are his colourful and quirky animals, which are mostly off the same highly textures bases and things like Chanel Bottles, Chairs, Moto GP riders, V8s and flora. They are also highly commissionable and Franko does a lot of pieces of loved ones, pets and peoples own favourite entertainers or subject matters.
This is a developing range, so you can expect to see lots of different subject matter coming but all based on the same principles of texture, depth and abstract styled bases.
These gorgeous pieces are created on a 40mm frame wrapped in linen, with a triple gloss coat and gallery finished edges. He takes his depth of canvas to a different level believing a canvas has 5 sides and should be painted and finished as such. He also has an adept love of commissions! His spunky wife Wendy is CFO and runs a lot of the “day to days” including logistics, leaving him to that other important part..... painting!
Finishing:
Most paintings arrive ready to install with hardware installed on the rear. It is recommend that the really really big ones, some of the heavier pieces and some of the specialist pieces, such as pallets be installed by a professional hanger. This is cheaper than you may think and would be in the $150 to $250 range. We have partners in most areas that can be recommended if you need help. If you would like more information, just ask away.
Serving Suggestions:
Provided with listings are some insitu images to give you a feel for how any given piece may look like in various situations. We strive to ensure they are accurate in scale. Sometimes we will add an external frame to the painting insitu, to provide a vibe for how that would look also. As mentioned above, my pieces arrive ready to install with gallery finished edges, and honestly most people don’t add external framing. However, it is of course an option. If you have any questions, please let me know. We are here to help and want to make it as easy as possible for you if your décor aspirations require it.
Freight and delivery:
Global shipping is included in the listed prices however, if you happened to be in an extremely remote area or country, we may put our hand up and ask for a little bit of monetary assistance. We package the paintings securely in twin walled, reinforced, CUSTOM MADE “Franko” cartons, with additional protective inserts & of course the painting is wrapped in bubble wrap and often felt for rub protection. We are the consummate professionals in all that we do. Our trusted freight partners are TNT, TOLL and DHL. Often with larger pieces and local deliveries, we arrange direct delivery with our own driver.
Insurance:
All paintings are sent fully insured.
