Gardani started working and experimenting with different techniques and materials on his Paintings and Sculptures. Entirely self-taught he had his first solo exhibition at a young age in his native Quito. after that he realized that is what he wants to do for the rest of his life, he knew to fulfill that dream he would have to leave his Country. Gardani believes visiting the major Art Museums is the best school to learn the higher expressions of Art.
Gardani use Oils for Classic-Realism style Paintings for what he is best-known, most recently for his colorful Pop Art paintings he uses any type of media including, printmaking, silk screening, collage newspapers, old iconography images, magazines, stencils, spray paint, text, hand finished with oils and acrylics to bring out lovely and unforgettable flashes in the viewerβs memories. Gardani, still remains true to his initial spirit of enjoying Art in the Magic Realism form which he has been practicing for more than thirty years, he has always looked to the Masters for inspiration and creative energy like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo. Caravaggio, Rembrandt. He also draws inspiration from expressionist and abstract painters like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Joan Mitchell, Richard Diebenkorn and many others. Even though some of his paintings come from his mind and photo references he prefers to work with live models. Gardani has the ability to create a wide range of Artworks, Pop-Sculptures, Still Lifes, Fruits, Animal, landscapes, Contemporary Abstracts, Portraits his renowned Figurative Paintings and most recently his colorful Pop-Urban Art and Murals.
The artwork of this Artist has been exhibited in prestigious Art Galleries in United States, Central and South America, Europe and Asia. He has been commissioned for many private collectors throughout his career. In his 20 plus years as a professional artist he has attracted collectors worldwide, and now he has his art hanging in collections in a lot of countries on six continents. As a Latino Artist of Spanish Heritage, he reflects in his Paintings the techniques used by the contemporary masters of our time like Salvador Dali, Caravaggio mixed with a bit of the colors of the variety of cultures that he has experienced throughout his life, this has undoubtedly given him the richness in his sense of life and the will to celebrate it through his beautiful artworks.
