Close to the edge, Katoomba

View point was from the Scenic World near Echo Point, Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. I had just done the cliff walk, down the Three Sisters steps and along the Federal Pass and up the Furber Steps. This was the view i got to enjoy with a cold beer after all the walking and photography!

Amazing and immense place of striking rugged beauty.

The cliff drop keeps going down to the canyon below and the town of Katoomba starts above with some meandering roads and trails.

As a landscape artist I am inspired by the diversity Sydney scapes offer. From familiar landmarks to the vast and varied bush, up and down the coast and inland to the Blue Mountains. I am Studio Artist, but an outdoor person. I draw inspiration from the world around me, from striking form or contrast to tangled masses, the mystery and power of the natural world.

I also have fond attachment to the stone circles and ancient monuments of the UK, which I enjoy exploring when I am back in the UK, then turning my acquaintance to art.
I work mostly in water colour and some of my work is still in the experimental phase, developing larger pieces.
