Gallery Wall

Developed from a life drawing study this work plays with the multiple images of a painting of the original study and a further stylised painting of the study, in a triangle of works in situ in, what better than, a gallery.

This art explores colour, form, pattern and figuration and recompose the shapes and shadows of nature and the built environment. It is based on realism with a distortion factor, canvassing aspects of the ordinary and the extraordinary and evoking a sense of the social dynamics and psychological layers of identity and place.
