This study lead, in part, to another larger painting which has been sold. It was part of the Backyard series from around 2007. It is framed and ready to hang.

It is painted on heavy weight Fabriano paper and framed behind glass.

This art explores colour, form, pattern and figuration and recompose the shapes and shadows of nature and the built environment. It is based on realism with a distortion factor, canvassing aspects of the ordinary and the extraordinary and evoking a sense of the social dynamics and psychological layers of identity and place.
