Artwork Description

This painting was inspired after watching my children go through their final years of high school during the COVID lockdowns of 2020/21. At a time when your independence and social life are meant to be growing, they were forced to do nothing at all. The after effects are still being felt with growing numbers of kids experiencing anxiety and mental health issues.
The girl depicted is no one in particular, but symbolic of a young person, seemingly invisible and barricaded from the joys that life can offer.

ABOUT GEOFF
I am a stencil artist. I create art that bridges memory and imagination, using stencils as my language. Based in Melbourne, I blend photography, digital design, hand cut stencils and paint to craft scenes that feel both familiar and a little unexpected. My technique is constant, but my subjects shift—each piece layered with hidden details and quiet stories, inviting you to look closer and feel something deeper.
I believe art shouldn't match your space - it should MAKE it!
Thanks for stepping into my world. I hope you find a piece that speaks to you.
