Artwork Description

The title was inspired by Pink Floyds classic song 'Wish You Were Here', this painting offers a surreal exploration of identity and connection. Whilst the world has never been busier and more crowded, we can find ourselves becoming increasingly lonely and overwhelmed. The two figures gently cradle the bowls, emphasising both fragility and longing. The separation of the goldfish in their individual bowls speaks to themes of isolation and mindlessness, while their mutual gaze hints at the yearning for understanding and connection.
