Museum quality archival pigment art print on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
'Mataka' has been released as a limited edition 1 - 35. 'Mataka' meaning morning in Fijian, is a depiction of my childhood in Fiji, where I spent joyful days sheltering under the sun-drenched palm trees. This period holds a special place in my heart, and it's so vivid in my memory that I can draw a palm tree from it without hesitation.
The photographic printed background newsprint is made up of positive words, please look at the detailed photos to see this. I wanted to create the feeling of flight and movement to spread positivity and joy rather than what we seem to get in the news.
