Georgina Fraser is a modern contemporary painter living and working in Sydney, Australia.
At a glance, her signature style of works are instantly recognisable.
Often depicting peculiar characters featured throughout her work. These are the very characters that have become synonymous with the name ‘Georgina Fraser’.
Inspired early on by comic books, cartoon shows and the art collective ‘Mambo’.
Georgina naturally progressed her drawings into fully formed paintings, along the way shaping her own style and groove aesthetic.
Georgina, amusingly, notes that even she is not entirely sure herself what these distinct plethora of characters mean or if they’re supposed to mean anything at all but that they invite the audience to gaze into a window of absurd reality.
