Driamon #1 is a bright and colourful minimalist artwork in the style of De Stijl made famous by Piet Mondrian. I've often been drawn to this apparently simply and aesthetically pleasing style, and Mondrian’s work can be seen influencing my other paintings. Driamon #1 though aligns directly with his style. Having said that, the technique is strongly influenced, but the painting itself is 100% original.
Further than the inspiration of De Stijl, I was also inspired by the architecture of some unique building around Sydney. The use of phi in the measurements and scale has played a part in the design and execution of this painting.
All of that aside... isn't it beautiful!? Maybe I'm biased, but I can just see this artwork as a statement piece in a home or office. The use of primary colours in sparing quantities means that this painting will fit in with any style or decor.
Note: I had a very hard time trying to get the photo exactly square, so the photo may appear to show the lines as being off centre... they are not, that’s just my photography skills :-/ . I laboured long and had to get the lines consistent and level. Please contact me if you would like any additional photos. Thanks

A handy way of determining just how this sized painting will work in your space is to use blue tack dots or masking tape on your wall to plot out the border of the painting. This method gives you a realistic impression of how the painting will fit on your wall
