Artwork Description

This painting is called ‘Ngaangk’ meaning sun in Noongar language. The sun in Noongar culture is a woman, who brings light, nourishment, warmth and life to us all. The sun gives us energy and healing.

Artist Bio

I’m a Wangkatha and Ballardong/Wadjuk woman from Western Australia, and I’ve been painting since 2018. Over the years, I’ve developed a contemporary style that’s bright, bold, and deeply personal.

Art has been a healing journey for me. It brings me peace and allows me to express beauty especially during times when I couldn’t always see it around me. Each piece I create is a reflection of that healing process and a celebration of colour, culture, and connection.

I hope my artwork brings you not only joy, but also a sense of healing, as it has done for me.
