I love to visit Sydney and walk around and find interesting vistas with lovely light effects and colours. On one particular day I came across this view of the Harbour Bridge and a cat jumped onto the fence. A sign on the fence below the cat said "Beware of the Dog". I vocalized that sign and the cat looked with
indignation at me as if to say "surely you are not talking about me"? This exchange added a humorous twist to an already beautiful scene worthy of a painting.
I use Windsor and Newton oil paint and protect the painting with Retouching varnish while it is drying fully which takes a minimum of 6 months.

Artist Bio
I have always been creative, enjoying to draw since 3 years old. However, art wasn't a prominent part of my life until several challenging and tragic family events occurred. Then in 2010 I went to TAFE and completed certificates I, II, and IV in visual art and I haven't looked back since. I currently paint using oils and acrylic.
My favourite images always come from the natural world, usually during my walks. I will see a scene where the light brings a rare moment of beauty that I want to capture for myself to relive and others to enjoy also. I photograph the scene and use it as the basis of my work but then use my memory of the moment to complete the painting.
Realism is my preferred style. I enjoy other styles between projects for variety. Recently I have been trying to represent my ideas as information visualisation abstracts.
I am very concerned about climate change and the threat to our beautiful world. My paintings capture that beauty and hopefully inspires us all to take care of our home.
