Beautiful sunny day on Hawkesbury River.
Still we were in WinterAugust, but I felt nice early Spring feeling.
Sift greens on the hill and water reflected that colours.
I painted this on the top of houseboat.
Start of spring in Hawkesbury River

Artist Bio
My name is Hide Kobayashi. I am a self taught artist. I have studied Japanese traditional pottery in Mashiko, Japan and moved to Australia in 1986. I started life drawing with Newcastle artist Peter Lankas in 2002 and started painting in oil and acrylics about 10 years ago. After my father passed away, I found that he had created a lot of oil paintings and I brought them to Australia as my inspiration.
I have been doing 'a drawing a day' A3 on paper using charcoal, soft pastels or acrylic paint since February 2019. I draw everyday items around me or from photographs. For the past 5 years I have been going out with my artist-friend, Dino Consalvo. We paint 'en plein air' every Friday at Merewether Beach. This has provided me with regular painting practice and I can see my improvement over the years. This is why I think my paintings are ready to be purchased and so other people can enjoy my art.
