This piece was painted en plein-air in Tyler Park, Newtown, Pennsylvania. I was inspired by subdued colors of winter day. The painting features bold, expressive brush strokes and rich, vivid texture.

Ilya Lerner was born in Moscow, Russia in 1966. He emigrated in 1989 and, after living in several cities and states, currently resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Lerner holds Master of Fine Arts degree from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and taught extensively throughout United States. His paintings were subject of more than twenty art shows, received important awards and are included in important museum, corporate and private collections.
