Artwork Description

This piece features one of New Yorkers' favorite parks located in Chelsea built over an abandoned subway line. Due to elevation, it allows for magnificent, unusual views of Manhattan, in this particular case of West 26th Street in Chelsea. Rigorously academically trained in the traditions of Russian School, artist explores Realism, Impressionism and Expressionism from the point of view of Contemporary and Abstract painting. His deeply personal style incorporates unconventional compositions, vivid texture, gestural painting marks, emphasized color and other features of 21st century painting, along with a solid Academic foundation and use of the Old Master’s techniques. .
