A hummingbird with an intuitive and curious mind.

There is no doubt that hummingbirds are fast and have wings that fly very fast. Despite this, in this artwork it is taking the time to appreciate all the wonderful things in life. It has its cup of tea and stack of books underneath it. With its light shining brightly, the lamppost creates a special place for the bird to sit beside it.

The artwork was created in the surreal illustrative style in order to show the character of the clever Hummingbird wearing a top hat and a pointy beak who showed off his curiosity.

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
