Artwork Description

A magical attitude with a fighting spirit

As this character is inspired by the vibrant colors of a siamese fighting fish, I decided to personalize it more by adding a top hat with interesting imaginative swirls around, as if the fish was creating them with its determined outlook and positive attitude. Underwater worlds and the beauty of their creatures have always fascinated me. One of those interesting creatures is the Siamese fighting fish.
This fish has a symbolic meaning.

Depending on its size, betta fish or Siamese fighting fish, as they are traditionally called, can signify prosperity and fertility. Many people think they are a fantastic housewarming gift that will bring good luck to the recipients.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
