Between water and art
This painting was inspired by the vibrant rhythm of a Gold Coast Sunday, where art, water, and community meet at HOTA. I wanted to capture the layered energy of the markets, the gentle movement of boats in the waterways, and people wandering, pausing, and connecting.
Pelicans are familiar locals, calmly observing the scene, grounding the bustle with their presence. Through textures and layers, I explored the contrast between movement and stillness, celebrating a place where creativity, nature, and everyday life blend into one living, breathing moment.
